Merry Christmas & Happy Holidays!
I hope everyone is recovering well from the Christmas festivities and holiday treats, whatever you celebrate this season!!
I was thinking a lot this season about change.
Looking around the table at everyone sharing the Seven Fishes on Christmas Eve, a tradition my mom has kept up with every year, I notice how much my little cousins have grown up and how much our family has expanded, seeing more new faces around the table.
I know it won’t always look like this. Someday, the torch will be passed to your girl here (who almost exclusively only cooks eggs..) to keep this tradition going. I wonder how things will look then.
Change can feel a little scary, but this season, I’m choosing to pause and just be grateful for this moment.
My mom and grandma are healthy, my brother and I are still close, and our family is sharing this holiday with love and laughter.
So here’s the reminder I want to send: Appreciate what you have right now.
It’s easy to get caught up in the next thing, the next year, the next goal, but these moments matter.
I hope you take a little time this holiday season to soak up the laughter, good company, and maybe a little rest too.
Wishing you all a wonderful rest of the holiday weekend!!
With Love,
Alex
