A ferry to the Jersey Shore!!

This direct ferry is now running from NYC straight to the Jersey Shore.

Where do I get it & Where does it go?

The ferry boards at the Battery Martime Building (Slip 5) in Lower Manhattan and lands you right at Captain Bill's in Point Pleasant Beach!

Board in NYC and cruise across the harbor with a skyline view better than anything you'd see from your car window, and step off at the Shore actually relaxed instead of sweaty and annoyed.

No brake lights. Just water, a seat, and vacation mode starting the second you get on.

For anyone doing beach weekends, this is huge. More time on the sand, more time at the waterfront bars, less time stuck wondering if you should've left an hour earlier.

How much does it cost?

It's no cheap ticket. Tickets start at $69 for a one-way and $99 for a round-trip adult ticket. Maybe see it more as as an excursion?

Could this affect NJ real estate?

Maybe? Accessibility drives home values. It just does. Every time it gets easier to get somewhere, that somewhere gets more desirable. And a straight shot ferry from Manhattan to the Shore is exactly the kind of thing that turns "eh, it's a bit of a haul" into "wait, I could actually do this."

That changes the math for a lot of people. Second home buyers, investors, remote workers who want a coastal life without fully cutting the cord to the city. A Shore house isn't just a summer thing anymore. It's a weekend spot, a hybrid work base, honestly for some people it could be the main house.

And it's not just city people heading to the Shore. Flip it around. This could work the other way too.

Think about who's been priced out of commuting distance to Manhattan, or who assumed a Shore life meant giving up the city job. A real ferry commute changes that conversation. Suddenly someone living in Long Branch or Asbury Park can have both a close proximity to the shore and easy access to a NYC career. Wake up near the beach, walk onto a boat, be in the city in time for a 9am, and be back on the sand by early evening. Idk, too good to be true?
